QuestStep ("we", "us", "our") is a family task and reward app for parents and children. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

• Parent email address and password (used for authentication via Supabase)

Family & app data

• Child names and profile details you create
• Quests, rewards, and star balances you configure
• Quest completion history
• Mood check-ins and calming activity usage

Purchase & subscription data

• Subscription status and purchase history, processed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat may collect device identifiers and purchase receipts to verify entitlements. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Device data (local only)

• Local push notification tokens (for quest reminders — stored on-device only, never uploaded)

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the app's core functionality (quests, rewards, family profiles)
• To verify and manage your subscription
• To send local push notification reminders you configure
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising

4. Data Storage & Security

Your account and family data is stored securely via Supabase (supabase.com). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Each family's data is isolated by user ID with row-level security policies.

5. Children's Privacy

QuestStep is designed for family use under parental supervision. Child profiles (names, quest data) are created and managed by the parent account holder. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Children do not create their own accounts.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us. Upon deletion, your family's data will be removed from our systems within 30 days.

7. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication: supabase.com/privacy
• RevenueCat — subscription management: revenuecat.com/privacy
• Apple App Store — purchases are processed by Apple

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
